Privacy policy
This policy explains how Morbid Darlings (“we”, “us”) uses personal data when you visit morbid-darlings.co.uk, create an account, place an order, join the newsletter, or send a message. It is written for a UK shop under UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018. You can edit this page in WordPress at any time.
Who is responsible
Morbid Darlings is the controller for this shop. Contact us at [email protected].
What we collect
- Orders and accounts: name, email, billing and delivery address, phone, order contents, payment status, and messages you send about an order.
- Contact form: name, email, and your message, so we can reply.
- Newsletter: email address, if you subscribe.
- Shop use: items in your bag, pages needed to run checkout, and security logs.
We do not store full card numbers. Card payments are handled by WooPayments (Stripe).
Why we use it
- To take, pack, and deliver orders, and to deal with returns — contract.
- To keep accounts, invoices, and records we must keep for tax and accounting — legal obligation.
- To reply to messages and run the shop securely — legitimate interests.
- To send the newsletter — consent, which you can withdraw by unsubscribing.
Who we share it with
Only what is needed to run the shop:
- WooPayments / Stripe, to take payment.
- Royal Mail or another courier, to deliver.
- Mailchimp, if you join the newsletter.
- Krystal (hosting), Cloudflare (security and DNS), and LiteSpeed Cache on the server.
We do not sell your data.
How long we keep it
Order and invoice records are kept for as long as UK tax rules require (usually six years). Contact messages are kept only as long as needed to reply. Newsletter details stay until you unsubscribe. You can ask us to delete account details that we are not required to keep.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, delete it where the law allows, or restrict how we use it. Email [email protected]. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.
If you have a shop account, WordPress also lets you request an export or erasure from the account screens, or we can do this for you.
